So I finally created a facebook page, and I'm already surprised at how much better it is than myspace! Look me up under Marc Palan, or you can become a fan of Luminosity Fashions too (still working on that one)

New website!

  • Mood: Joy
Over the last few years I've been tinkering around with my own website, and I was never very good at it despite employing my usual tactics of stubbornness and persistence. I have finally hired someone to do it properly and he did a fantastic job! It has a powerful shopping cart system, making choosing and purchasing so much easier, and the overall layout is far more simple to navigate.

Have a look and tell me what you think - all feedback is much appreciated! If you buy anything and your total is over $40, mention deviantArt during checkout for a free keychain! Don't forget to mention which weave and metals you would like - look in the "Accessories" section for availability. Base metals only for this offer, no niobium or silver.

Pat Bowlen is an idiot

  • Mood: Disbelief
Granted, I've hated the guy ever since he threatened to move the Broncos if he didn't get a new stadium, but this takes the cake. Sure the Broncos have had one of the worst defenses in the league in recent years, and are the only team in history to blow a 3 game division lead (let alone with 3 games left in the season), but that's what comes with young and inexperienced teams. I guess the fact that we have one of the most productive offenses with a killer O-line doesn't mean anything, nevermind the fact that Shanahan is a draft genius.

2 days ago, 2009 looked like a promising season. Now who knows what the team will be like with a coaching overhaul (anyone who follows the Broncos knows the defensive woes we've had because of switching coordinators every year). The only way Bowlen could make up for this blunder is if he miraculously persuaded Bill Cowher to come out of retirement (which is NOT going to happen - at least not this year)

To Pat: Please, please, PLEASE do not contact Schottenheimer, but if you do....well then go choke on that ugly fur coat and save the fans from doing it for you in 20 years when we haven't even approached another Superbowl, let alone win one. Don't let the Marty-ball curse ruin a great team - need you be reminded of Cleveland's, San Diego's and KC's post-Marty playoff records? There's a reason why a coach can go 14-2 in a season and still get fired... "It doesn't matter if we win, let's just go play football!" (Schottenheimer in a pre-game pep talk before losing the 1987 AFC championship game)

Finally something new!

I've been wanting to update this for a long time now, but there just hasn't been anything noteworthy - just plugging along as usual. Well that's finally changed obviously - I just got back from visiting my uncle in Seattle, and I'm nearing completion of my new website. I'm all geared up for the holidays, and I'm feeling creative so it's all good :)
Here's a pic from the trip - I guess I don't put very many of myself up so here ya go :)

Romero Britto liked my jewelry!

Sat Jun 14, 2008, 5:34 PM

One of the perks of selling my stuff in Artists Avenue is the chance to meet famous artists! Romero Britto is internationally known for his bold, colorful paintings and painted structures. His work was featured in the Superbowl pre-game show with Cirque du Soleil, on Absolut and Pepsi ads, and he erected a massive pyramid in Hyde Park in London.

Needless to say I was nervous meeting this guy, but he was very down to earth, and took notice of the jewelry I was wearing (the Braided GSG bracelet). He also liked a bracelet that the owner of Artists Avenue was wearing, and the Wide Silk Ribbon that my sister wore for the occasion.

That was a badly needed ego boost :XD: I sent his PR manager an e-mail too....just in case ;)

check out Britto.com to see some of his work.
