Description
The fourth in a series of "Slinky Diamonds" designs. This one took a looooong time to make, compared to the others. In addition to just weaving, I had to anodize the niobium rings and organize them to make the color gradiation.
I ano'd these a little differently than normal. Usually I just set the voltage I want and dip the rings, but this time I stayed with pretty much one voltage level (about 95) and quickly dipped them in and out until they reached the desired color. Only the higher voltage colors (the blues at the edges) needed an adjustment. The result was a more even and predictable color (anodization is far from exact for this kind of thing).
Stats
20AWG 2.75mm
Red brass, anodized niobium
The rings used to make this cuff are available in my Etsy shop in a limited number of kits.

It's a damn shame the niobium will lose its color over time with wear. This is just too beautiful!! D:
